Karnataka Surgeon Dr Govind Nandakumar Beats Traffic, Runs for 15 Minutes To Perform Surgery on Time. A doctor reached the hospital after running for almost three quarters of an hour to operate on the patient.
Dr. Govinda Nandakumar. He is a gastroenterology specialist in a famous hospital in the city. He was traveling by car on August 30 to reach Manipal Hospital. However, there was a traffic jam near Sarjapur - Marath Halli due to waterlogging due to heavy rain.
On his way to the hospital, he got stuck in heavy traffic when he was about 3 km away. If the doctors were delayed in reaching the hospital due to the traffic jam, many patients would have suffered. Thus, realizing that it would be difficult to delay any longer, the doctor got out of the car and started running on the road full of traffic jam.
He had to perform a surgery in 45 minutes. So he got down from the car and ran like this and reached the hospital and performed the operations.
